photo by Chuck Smart Poet and artist M. Anne Sweet was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, first of six children. Sweet and her family moved frequently within the western United States, Canada and then Alaska. She returned to Albuquerque to study art, art history and literature at the University of New Mexico. Since the mid-seventies she resides near Seattle, Washington, working as the art director for Washington Thoroughbred magazine. She continues to hone her poetic craft through interaction with other writers and artists and is currently collaborating with three percussionists, combining improvisational music and poetry. |
